THE „ECONOMY“

AN ORG BOARD

Reports from experts and observers. Wall St. Times, Barren’s magazine, various sources, give a gloomy picture of the economy.

A lot of factors enter in, but money is suddenly very tight and many big corporations are threatened with bankruptcy.

An org board is a list of hats with seniorities. The hats are in flow sequence.

Apparently some businesses are afraid to put ads in papers to employ people as they are unable to handle the resulting mobs of applicants.

A hat is a duty. It outlines the actions necessary to accomplish a production and receive what’s needed, change and route it.

In times like these one has to manage very industriously and watch outgo very carefully and somehow expand income.

In theory the I/C holds all functions. When he doesn’t fully outline them they can’t be hatted. If they’re not hatted he wears them as an unknown fog. Simple as that.

This is no time to neglect areas or situations or to have an attitude of „nothing to do with me“. It does!

What defines a hat is a product.

What one can do about it is pretty simple: WEAR THE HAT ASSIGNED ONE AMBITIOUSLY, WORK AS A TEAM, GET OUT REAL PRODUCTS.

If you count up the expected products you get the minimum number of hats. The steps to get the product is the hat. Products are also composed of lesser products, so hats can be enlarged. It’s what you designate as a product that makes a hat. It’s the importance of that product to others on the line that makes the hat’s importance.

The usual reason one works hard with no product or an overt product at the end is lack of tech. One has not found or developed the tech necessary to do one’s post.

The completeness and size of the product make the seniority of the hat.

Well, you’d be surprised how much time I spend in study. I find or develop the tech of what I do. Sure, there’s trillions of years behind what I do. But the here and now is a planet of limited tech in almost every line of country. So what’s here and now to do with and how is it done here?

The overall product of a division determines the hat of the divisional officer. The lesser products that when combined make the overall product determine the rest of the division hats.

One studies the area, one takes the data he can get, one develops what he can’t, one applies what he finds. And the result is a real product.

Until you can define in one go the overall product of a division you aren’t likely to be able to post any real part of its org board. For the product of hats of that div add up to the div product.

When times get worse or conditions are not of the best one has to study and work that much harder to make it.

When you see an unposted or unreal org board, the head of the div is not producing a product with that div, no matter how busy it all looks or how exhausting.

There’s no question of lying back and letting it ride. That would be pure self-destruction. So the way out in life is the way through.
